Eric is three months into his training at Hunters’ House. So far, he has done much to impress, but also much to irk the Commander of the Hunters’ Guild, Ivar. As much as Eric hates him, he needs Ivar on his side. He needs to do something to shut the Commander’s mouth, once and for all.
Thankfully, Dolfus has a task for the hunters. A ferocious manticore has been terrorising nearby farms. The first new recruit to kill it will receive a prize.
The catch: they have to work in teams, and Eric is less than impressed with his partner.
Can they put aside their differences and slay the beast? Or, will their grudge spell the end of Eric’s time as a hunter?
